“Michael”
.
.
“Michael” was created by Yolanda Bello as one of her “Picture Perfect Babies” collection. He is completely of fine porcelain produced at the Edward M. Knowles China Company, painted by and clothes sewn by hand. He was a strictly limited edition and numbered, produced only in 1991 after which the mold was destroyed.
Though she never admitted it, I knew as soon as I saw it that JoAnn bought this doll because it was named Michael and looked like our late son of the same name.

Nothing bad to say about this doll, Frank. He is named after your son, and has an ‘M’ on his clothes.
That had to be the reason for buying him, and I am glad it gave you both some memories.
Best wishes, Pete.

I am so sad to learn you lost a son. I love the doll and the photo of your little boy.

My wife and I buried two sons Liz. Daniel in infancy and Michael at age ten. Michael was profoundly handicapped. Best wishes for the holidays.

I just read the four part series and am very grateful for the link you provided so I could. Even I miss your wife after reading all about her.
