About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

That’s a nice roundup of your blog, Frank. It always fascinates me to see where the people who read my blog come from. Though most are from English-speaking countries, the far-flung and unusual places pop up regularly, and make me imagine someone there sitting reading my musings.
Enjoy the weekend with your family.
    Very best wishes, Pete.

Frank, I remember when I first began my blog and had no sense of what it would bring or who could possibly be interested in my ramblings. Then I started putting photos and videos of my cats in it, and the followership increased by hundreds in a short time. It still amazes me that there is that much interest in cat bloggery and that every continent but Antarctica is represented among the 817 followers of my blog.

That said, your blog is a natural for expansion, and I was surprised it isn’t followed by more people, it is such high quality. Your thoughtful poetry, your poignant recollections of your military duties as a member of a team that notified families of the combat deaths of their sons, your remembrances of your wife and the son who didn’t survive all combine to make your blog one of the best written, most readable and worthy efforts in the blogosphere.

I wish you the best for more hits and more followers in the future! I can’t think of a blog more worthy of major distribution. Let’s add a few zeroes after the 550!

  11. I do consider all of the concepts you have introduced for your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work.
Still, the posts are very brief for novices. May you please extend them a little from subsequent
time? Thank you for the post.
