Earlier this week I reached 40,000 views on this blog and 550 followers – a pretty nice milestone for an old retired guy living in Florida who tries to write poetry (not very well) and sundry other posts.
Some ten thousand came in the last six months. Ten thousand times in the last 6 months someone in the world visited my blog and clicked on something. That’s pretty good traffic considering I am not on any social media, have no Facebook page or Twitter account.
My eldest daughter laughs. She said she is getting very tired fingers clicking on my blog to make me feel good!!
While I am pleased to have reached this milestone I am prouder still of the number of countries where these visitors reside – 112 countries..
Countries ranging from Jordan, Iraq and Palestine, Saudi Arabia to Turkey, Pakistan, India, Russia, the U.K., Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
It’s nice to have so many readers in countries other than my own.
Sincerest thanks to those of you who come by to visit – I hope you continue to visit and hopefully enjoy. Special thanks to my 40 or 50 “regulars.” You know who you are.
This Memorial Day weekend I will be visiting my expectant daughter on the east coast. See you all again next week.
Best regards from the Gulf coast of Florida!
