The fascist Marjorie Greene at the State of the Union address calling President Biden a liar.
“Critics of “woke” policies are usually pretty skeptical about snowflakes calling for safe spaces—but Marjorie Taylor Greene is suddenly all for the idea. The Georgia lawmaker even went so far as to claim that MAGA Republicans “deserve” one of their own. “We’re fed up with Democrat policies, we’re fed up with the woke ideology being shoved down our throat, and we’re tired of our children being brainwashed into these same ideas,” Greene told Sean Hannity on Fox News on Tuesday. “We want our own safe space and we deserve it,” Greene added while discussing her recent advocacy for a “national divorce” between red and blue states. Commenting on Greene’s remarks, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted: “Republicans ridiculed ‘safe spaces’ and called people ‘snowflakes’, this coming from one of their leaders is literally hilarious.”
Poor Marjorie. Recently she was “attacked” in a restaurant – yelled at actually – and called a fascist – by a woman and her son.
Marje tweeted ” I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane woman and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views,” she tweeted. “They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.”
This from a woman who harassed a school shooting survivor. Greene is using the incident to call for people to “respect others even if they had different views,” as she tweeted on Monday, despite her own rich history of harassing her political opponents. She’s condoned violence against prominent Democrats, followed and yelled at a Parkland High School shooting survivor on Capitol Hill and appears to have kicked a teenage activist questioning her outside the Capitol. The list goes on.
That she now wants a safe space for fascists is beyond parody. She is one of the women who whine about how woke politicians hate “conservative” minority pols. Victimhood again. You know how libs are. Always picking on conservatives.
Minority conservatives in Congress really seem to think they got there on their own. If they sincerely believe that it only reveals their woeful ignorance.
When I was a teen there were 11 women in Congress. Today 149 women serve in the House and Senate.
In 1959, at 16, after high school graduation, I got a job in the mail room of Citibank. I sorted the mail.
It didn’t take long to notice that there were virtually no women in the bank other than secretaries and typists. None. All the secretaries tended to be older ‘spinster’ types or finishing school girls who lived alone or with roomies in Manhattan, Connecticut or the Elysian fields of Northern New Jersey. Brooklyn girls were not secretary material.
I saw only one black man and he worked in the mail room with me. He was a much older man than I and he was still doing the job of a recent 16 year-old high school grad. He was glad to have the job. It had benefits and a pension and he supported his family with it.
The young women at the bank didn’t dream of a career in banking. They were looking for an up-and-coming husband. Woman were home, whether they wanted to be or not. There was something wrong with a woman who was not fulfilled by cooking, cleaning and caring for the kids. And of course, serving her man’s needs.
Who changed all that? And how? Was it good conservative, Christian women?
Nope.
It was the likes of Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan. Shirley Chisholm and male supporters.
In the early 1960s women were stereotyped as happy wives and mothers. The only jobs available to them outside the home were as teachers, secretaries and nurses. Society felt that a woman’s goal was to get married, have children and be a skilled homemaker. Unmarried and assertive women were social outcasts.
It was liberals who led the way, Marjorie. Liberals who made contraception legal as well ensuring reproductive rights. Liberals who fought for equal pay, broke glass ceilings, opened employment opportunities to women.
Marjorie needs to realize that if it wasn’t for da Libs she might be sitting back home in Georgia pregnant and tending house rather than sitting in the House. That also goes for the other female fascists. Do you think, if those “conservative” white “Christians” ever obtain all the power, women will continue to remain in power?
How about this. The Southern Baptist Convention last week decided to expel one of its largest and most prominent churches, Saddleback Church in Southern California, over the church’s installment of a woman as pastor. The convention also removed several other churches over their placement of women in certain leadership roles.
Southern Baptist leaders determined five churches, including Saddleback, “to be not in friendly cooperation with the Convention due to the churches continuing to have a female functioning in the office of pastor,” the convention’s executive committee chairman, Jared Wellman, said in a statement.
Just to be fair, Catholics don’t anoint women as priests either. Just ask the good Catholics on the SCOTUS. I’m starting to pay attention to Ron Reagan’s TV ad urging atheists and agnostics t0 join the Freedom from Religion Foundation.
The Charter Day School in rural North Carolina imposed a dress code on its 700 students requiring that all girls wear skirts and are forbidden to wear pants or shorts. The school in funded entirely by the state and owned by a for profit corporation.
The school’s founder, Baker Mitchell, argued that the dress code was necessary to teach kids that “women are regarded as a fragile vessel that men are supposed to take care of and honor.” It was official school policy, he explained, to treat girls “more gently than boys.”
No agenda here, eh Marje? You are either a complete fool or a grifter who has landed a great gig and will say anything to keep it.
How about those Latin Republicans? How about our Florida Senator Marco Rubio, child of Cuban immigrants? Did you know there are 1.5 million Cuban immigrants in the U.S, 68% of them living in Florida?
The Cuban Adjustment Act (CAA) was passed by the Congress and signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966. The law allows any Cuban citizen the legal right to become a U.S. permanent resident after being in the U.S. for at least two years.
All he or she has to do is set foot on our shores. After all, they are fleeing communists and human rights abuses.
Between 1960 and 1962, over 14,000 Cuban children were sent to the U.S. by their parents in what was known as Operation Peter Pan. These children were placed in foster homes and cared for by the Catholic Church in an effort to avoid indoctrination into the Communist party.
Many organizations here focus on giving aid to Cuban refugees and immigrants. Their mission is to search for Cuban refugee rafters in the Florida seas and get them to shore.
So do you think these Cubans for whom we opened the door have any sympathy for asylum seekers from elsewhere? Hell no. They are a solid Republican minority here in Florida. They have been here now for generations. They are waiting for Cuba’s liberation. Not that they are going back. Waiting for a chance to buy a condo in Havana.
The first to flee were the well to do. Those who profited while Cuba turned into a mafia casino and prostitution destination. They helped elect a Governor who sent Venezuelans from Texas to Martha’s Vinyard.
Finally, we have black “conservatives.”
First and foremost, of course, is Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. We should have listened to Anita Hill. I’m sure he thinks he got there via all his hard work and the grace of god. Think he had some broad shoulders to stand on? He sure doesn’t vote like he did. Malcolm would have had some pointed epitaphs for Justice Thomas.
Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina delivered the rebuttal speech to Joe Biden’s SOTU address.
Senator Tim Scott – the black apologist for white supremacists.
Biden in his own speech cited the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer last year and decried systemic racism in American society. He called on Congress to pass comprehensive criminal justice reform.
“My fellow Americans, we have to come together to rebuild trust between law enforcement and the people they serve, to root out systematic racism in our criminal justice system and enact police reform in George Floyd’s name that passed the House already,” Biden said.
Scott replied in his rebuttal: “Hear me clearly, America is not a racist country.”
Rev. Talbert Swann, a prelate in the Church of God in Christ serving as the bishop of the Vermont Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, overseeing congregations in Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York had this to say about Scott’s remark:
‘Uncle Tim Scott has perfected the art of sycophantic bootlicking. He’s a master step n fetch it artist and cunning white supremacy apologist, who demonstrated his buck dancing skills in front of the entire world.’
Not my comment. A quote from a back minister.
Tim Scott grew up in poverty in South Carolina. Today he holds a seat once held by the arch segregationist Strom Thurmon. Yet he is aligned with authoritarians, antisemites, white supremacists and insurrectionists.
These folks have all forgotten the footsteps they walk in. The shoulders they ride on. The people who created the possibility to get them where they are today.
It was those they now routinely call groomers and pedophiles who paved the way.
It was the Libs.

I suspect MTG has been reading ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’. (If she understands ‘big words’ that is) She wants ‘Gilead’, and she wants it now.
Best wishes, Pete.

These creeps are good examples of ‘being born on third base and thinking they hit a triple’. And the Cuban exile is a first time millionaires sought asylum in such large numbers in the US. They were puppets of organizations like the King Ranch, American Fruit, and the Mafia.

What I don’t understand is why so called ‘good’ Americans vote for so much evil.
