Pam and Rob – An Update

.

.

It has been over 6 months since the lives of Pam and Rob changed forever yet they are slowly adjusting to their new normal.  They now spend half their time in their own home while Rob stays in his parent’s during the week while Pam works.

He is able to get about quite well and is able to drive.  This coming week he will be measured for a prosthesis.  He spent several days in hospital several weeks ago for an unrelated kidney stone he was unable to pass.

They go out regularly, attend art shows and,  if you can believe it, will be returning to the stage this spring.  A production of “Twelve Incompetent Jurors” by Ian McWethy is being staged at the Tarpon Arts Center.  It is a hilarious parody of “Twelve Angry Men.”

Pam has entered the Flower and Garden Art Show in Tampa and has several pieces accepted for exhibition

Yesterday they attended a Quincinera for a relative with dozens of attendees.  Rob’s hair has grown back.  Both of our families are helping out as best we can.

About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

I don’t really know you, or your family. But I feel as if I do. I cannot tell you just how happy that makes me for Pam and Rob, Frank. True love knows no bounds, my friend.
    Best wishes, Pete.
