Taking Up Space

Lately as the pandemic once again rages here in Florida, I have begun to get very tired of anti-vaxxers  and freedom loving neo-fascists who will not don a face mask and insist that their unvaccinated little darling attend grade school sans mask.

Yesterday at a school board meeting in Tennessee the mask fight broke out again.  After the meeting the anti mask group shouted obscenities  and threats at a group of health care workers who had spoken in favor of masking up in school. “We know who you are!  We’ll find you!”

And you wonder where the camp guards will come from.

Why do these folks rail against masks and vaccines but run to the hospital as soon as they feel sick?  I mean, if you think the doctors are lying to you, why go to the hospital?

You were free to make a choice.  You chose not to believe the science or to take your chances.  You made up dozens of excuses.  The vaccine contained a micro-chip; the vaccine made you impotent or sterile.  You didn’t want the “gummit” telling you what to do.  Covid was a fraud made up by Democrats.  You were young and healthy and wouldn’t get sick.  If you did get infected it wouldn’t be any worse than the flu.  You don’t have time.

But you had time to scream at health care workers.

And when you got infected and was laying in bed unable to get any air, you ran to the ER seeking a hospital bed and that health care squad.

Ninety five percent of Florida’s ICU beds are filled by pompous unvaccinated ignorant losers like you.  You’re taking up space from people who are sick through no fault of their own.

I have a solution.

Unvaccinated Covid patients who contract the disease should go to the back of the line.

“No vaccine? So sorry.  Back of the line please.  Everyone else goes first.  They should be mandated to  sign away their bed n advance.

About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

The hypocrisy of such people makes me so angry! It’s the same here. ‘The Pandemic is a hoax’, followed by ‘I’m very ill with C-19 so please keep me alive’. Most ICU beds now occupied by people who refused any vaccination, so regular operations stay on hold, and people wait even longer for hip replacements, cancer treatment, and many other urgent procedures. I’m with you, make the anti-vaxxers look after themselves at home.
(Off topic, whatever happened to Donald the lizard? I miss him.)
    Best wishes, Pete.

Unvaccinated? Sorry. No bed for you! Take two aspirins. Here’s portable oxygen.

Donald disappeared over the winter. Never found a body on my Lanai so I presume he crept under the screen door and went to live his life. I have seen a baby lizard these last few days. If it hangs around I’ll name it!

      Best from Florida Pete!
