Behind Closed Doors

The cast of “Behind Closed Doors” opening tomorrow night at the Carrollwood Cultural Center in Tampa.

“Behind Closed Doors is an original play consisting of two acts with two scenes per act.  Each scene serves as a vignette that focuses on the different residents who reside on the fifth floor of a tenement building located in the downtown area of a metropolitan city.  As the play progresses the individual stories of each act begin to overlap and intersect with one another.”

That’s Pam (left front) and Rob (rear – far right – head cocked) both of whom participate in amateur theater.

What is the Carrollwood Cultural Center?

“It’s where a 5-year-old girl discovers that she’s an artist, a 70-year-old man discovers he’s a musician, a 35-year-old woman learns ballet and a family grows stronger by sharing the stage together.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center is much more than a building. It’s the place where strangers become friends and friends become family.

Above all, it’s a place where a community came together to  prove—and continue to prove–that ordinary citizens can, through their labors and generosity, determine the culture of the place in which they live out their lives.

Break a leg!

About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

Good luck to both of them on that first night. I am expecting it to go down a storm!
(Sorry to break the theatrical code, but I am a long way away, so it will be OK)
    Best wishes, Pete.
