Georgia Has Some Great Ideas!

Georgia’s voting ideas should be applied to guns!

You can only purchase one gun every two years!

A gun can only be purchased on a Tuesday in November!

There will be only one gun store in each county!

You will have to go wait in long lines

You must have multiple forms of I.D.

No on can give you water while you wait.

About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

  1. It won’t be long before they just plain disenfranchise people, if they carry on down that path.

I would like to see gun ownership banned completely in America. These ‘rules’ make a mockery of all those killed in mass shootings. America bleeds, and we all feel for that. But they don’t. Tragic.
The country will be remembered throughout history as the one place on Earth that had more guns than people. What a sad legacy!
    Best wishes, Pete.

We have such a divisive and dysfunctional gov’t. with increasing radicalization and polarization. There are fundamental constitutionalists on the right (originalists) who will take the 2nd amendment literally as if it would apply to any kind of weapon no matter how lethal or technically powerful. We are a selfish nation of people who feel their rights supersede the life, safety and liberty of others, whether we are talking about owning a semi-automatic rifle with high-capacity magazines (weapons of war), or wearing a mask in indoor public places during a pandemic. This maddening culture of individualism with completely unrestricted freedoms now includes freedom from responsibility. And it isn’t until those individuals become the victims themselves can they be swayed. It’s reached the point where commonsense gun laws that a vast majority of the population, including responsible gun owners are in favor of cannot even get passed. Our gov’t. represents the special interests and the ongoing trend toward limiting and select voters will make it even worse.
