Going Bi-Coastal

04640007 (2)Toritto at 40 in 1982.  I can’t believe my hair was so brown!

Tomorrow I will be leaving the virtual world for a week or so.

I am traveling to spend time with my eldest and her hubby; going from the coast where the sun sets in the Gulf to the coast where the sun rises in the Atlantic.

I will leave my old desktop (still running Windows XP!); since I have no smart phone, am not on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter I will be out of touch so to speak.  I don’t spend any time looking at my old flip-phone since there is nothing to see on it but the time.  I actually converse with people, have dinners, drinks, cigars.

So don’t look for any posts or “likes” from me till some time next week when I will return home to a couple of hundred e-mails and will reappear refreshed and rejuvenated on the net at the same old place.

It’s good to get away.  See you all next week

Regards

🙂

About toritto

I was born during year four of the reign of Emperor Tiberius Claudius on the outskirts of the empire in Brooklyn. I married my high school sweetheart, the girl I took to the prom and we were together for forty years until her passing in 2004. We had four kids together and buried two together. I had a successful career in Corporate America (never got rich but made a living) and traveled the world. I am currently retired in the Tampa Bay metro area and live alone. One of my daughters is close by and one within a morning’s drive. They call their pops everyday. I try to write poetry (not very well), and about family. Occasionally I will try a historical piece relating to politics. :-)

You look 25 in that photo, not 40! (I had brown hair once too. But it has been silver or white for a lot longer…) Enjoy your break, and we will see you whenever you feel like returning.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Hi Pete – I was always lucky, looking younger than I actually was – until suddenly it caught up with me! I too still have my hair – now it’s gray. You can tell by my eyes I didn’t have my glasses on! See you next week.

Have a great time! Smoke and drink one for me!

By the way, the fireplace in the photo looks exactly like the fireplace in my parents’ old condo. You don’t see too many corner fireplaces that size with the tiles and bricks.
